The FIA have fined Haas F1 Team Principal Guenther Steiner €7,500 for causing ‘moral injury’ to a race steward and causing harm to the reputation of Motorsports following his radio comments to driver Kevin Magnussen following the Dane’s five second penalty at the Russian Grand Prix.

Steiner who was summoned to the stewards at the Japanese Grand Prix had faced a pitwall ban however it was decided that he would receive a monetary penalty instead.

The Haas F1 Team head into Sunday’s Japanese Grand Prix in ninth place in the Constructors championship on 28 points.
