Former Verizon IndyCar Series driver Tony Stewart that he will not return to the Indianapolis 500 in 2019 despite having an offer to compete in the most famous motor race on the planet.

Speaking at the Speedway on Sunday during the rain delay for the Brickyard 400, Stewart confirmed that he has received an offer from Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing team co-owner Bobby Rahal to compete in the Indianapolis 500 however Stewart has said that he will not race in the 500 next year.
