Rosberg Xtreme Racing’s Molly Taylor and Johan Kristofferson had the honor of topping the timesheets in the opening qualifying session for Sunday’s inaugural Extreme E Desert X Prix in Saudi Arabia. The pair set a combined two-lap time of 10:43.565s.

Lala Gutierrez and Sebastien Loeb of X44 were second-fastest through the loop with a 10:48.067s just ahead of Carlos and Laia Sainz who set a combined time of 11:16.232s.

Catie Munnings and Timmy Hansen of Andretti United XE were fourth fastest with a time of 11:31.603s just ahead of driver/owner Jenson Button and his JBXE teammate Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky with the pair setting a time of 12:22.426s.

Hispano Suiza XITE Energy Team’s Oliver Bennett and Christine Giampaoli were sixth with a 13:09038s just ahead of Segi Chip Ganassi Racing’s Sara Price and Kyle LeDuc who set a time of 13:33.674s while Mattias Ekström and Claudia Hürtgen of team Abt Cupra did not set a time while Jamie Chadwick and Stephane Sarrazin also failed to set a time.
