Frederic Vassuer says that the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team’s improvements both on and off track in the last year helped to secure Kimi Raikkonen’s signature for the next two years.
Vassuer says that new recruits within the team have helped the outfit to move forward. The Swiss based outfit finished the 2018 season in eighth place in the championship on 48 points.
The Hinwil based outfit have laid the foundations for an extremely strong 2019 season with the experience of Kimi Raikkonen and the rookie Antonio Giovinazzi.
Vassuer says that Raikkonen knows that the team won’t be fighting for podiums but that doesn’t matter to the Finn as he just wants to race and help the team to move forward as much as possible.
