Team Penske announced on Tuesday that it has entered into a technical partnership with Stratasys Ltd, the 3D printing and additive manufacturing solutions company.
The new deal which begins in 2017 will see Stratasys providing equipment and support to assist Penske in it’s engineering and manufacturing efforts in the Verizon IndyCar Series and in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series using state of the art 3D printing technology.
Speaking about the new agreement, Team Penske President Tim Cindric commented by saying:
Our strategic partnership with Stratasys should keep our manufacturing and engineering processes at the front of the pack. “Stratasys is on the cutting edge of additive manufacturing technology for automotive applications. Utilizing their equipment and technical support will provide us with another means to put our ideas on the race track first.
Speaking following the announcement, Rich Garrity, President Americas with Stratasys commented by saying:

The 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season kicks off on Sunday with the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Raceway while the 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series season gets underway from March 10-12 with the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg.
