Three UK based Formula One teams are considering writing a joint letter to British Prime Minister Teresa May over increasing concerns over Brexit.
If the UK ends up with a no deal Brexit it could be catastrophic to Formula One in the UK because teams receive many components from countries in the European Union there could also be visa issues for team employees or prospective employees.
The other issue that the teams based in UK could face is the transportation of their cars and equipment to each of the European races in relation to travel permits and freight charges.
It has been suggested that if Britain leaves the EU without a deal that the UK based teams could set up ‘satellite operations’ within the European Union.
The news could also result in future pre-season tests taking place in Bahrain like they did a number of years ago.
