The NTT IndyCar Series heads to Sebring International Raceway on Monday and Tuesday for the final pre-season test ahead of the opening race of the 2023 season, the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg, presented by RP Funding which takes place in exactly three weeks. The two-day test will see Chevrolet conduct their first ERS test ahead of its introduction in 2024.

Paddock Eye understands that Team Penske has been chosen to conduct the test on behalf o Chevrolet. The other big news team ahead of the test week is that Chip Ganassi Racing will conduct an evaluation test with Envision Racing’s Nick Cassidy, who will travel to Sebring from Hyderabad, India, where he was competing in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

Speaking about the upcoming test, Chip Ganassi Racing Managing Director Mike Hull commented saying:
