The NTT IndyCar Series have confirmed that Honda and Chevrolet-powered teams will test the next generation engine on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course on Monday and Tuesday 28th and 29th March.
The new spec 2.4 litre V6 twin turbo engine is set to be introduced in 2024. The new engine had been due to debut next year but was pushed back by a year due to the pandemic. The NTT IndyCar Series has confirmed that 20 drivers will test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway last next week in order to trial the new light display marshalling system that the series are hoping to introduce.
It has yet to be confirmed which drivers will carry out either of the tests next week.
