The NTT IndyCar Series has confirmed that if practice and qualifying for tonight’s Genesys 300 and tomorrow’s XPEL 375 can’t go ahead then the grid will be set by entrant points.

The track activity is currently on hold at Texas Motor Speedway as IndyCar officials and the AMR Safety team work to dry the track surface.

In a statement, IndyCar said:

“If no segments are completed, the starting grid will be set by entrant points entering the event or, for the first race of the season, by entrant points at the conclusion of the previous season.”
