Verizon IndyCar Series driver Tony Kanaan begin a new chapter in his career on Wednesday as he conducted his first test for his new team, AJ Foyt Racing.

Kanaan joined Foyt following four years with Chip Ganassi Racing. The Brazilian had replaced his former Andretti Green Racing team mate Dario Franchitti as Scott Dixon’s team mate at Chip Ganassi Racing.

On Wednesday, Kanaan tweeted:

The beginning of a new chapter. First test with AJ Foyt Racing and my first time driving the 2018 #INDYCAR aero package. Car looks as good as it drives. Excited to back behind the wheel.

Kanaan is joined at AJ Foyt Racing by fellow Brazilian Matheus Leist for the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series which gets underway with the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg which takes place from March 9-11.
