Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Marcus Ericsson said his car felt great as he ended his four lap average qualifying run of 228.551MPH for seventh place.

The result has pretty much locked the Swede into the field for the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge next weekend.

Ericsson said that the team have worked extremely hard this week and that hard work paid off on Saturday afternoon at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
