Ed Carpenter Racing’s Rinus VeeKay in the No.21 Bitcoin Racing Chevrolet says he got loose and lost control of his car which resulted in his retirement from 106th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge.
The Dutch driver was running well in the top three when he retired from the race. Speaking after the incident he said that when the car gets loose there is nothing you can do, you are just a passenger.
VeeKay has been checked and cleared at the in field medical centre.
