Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi in the No.27 NAPA Auto Parts Honda believes that the situation could be slightly different this afternoon after the 2016 Indianapolis 500 winner set the pace in the final practice session this morning.

Speaking to the Advanced Auto Parts IndyCar Radio Network before the qualifying, Rossi said that he is very thankful for all the hard work that Andretti Autosport have done since midway through last year.

The California goes into Sunday’s race in second place in the series points standings following back to back podium finishes at the season opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg and last time out at the Desert Diamond West Valley Casino at ISM Raceway in Phoenix.

Rossi said that the car has been fast as hell this weekend but he expects with the change in temperatures things could be different during qualifying. Rossi goes out in group 2 of qualifying.
