Alexander Rossi, who was fastest in both practice sessions, starts the race from fifth place with a time of 01:41.1854s and starts the race just ahead of Kyle Kirkwood, who had an engine issue in the fast 12 and didn’t compete in the Firestone Fast 6.
Christian Lundgaard starts the race from seventh place just ahead of Marcus Armstrong in the No.11 Ridgeline Lubricants Honda. Marcus Ericsson starts the race from ninth place just ahead of Benjamin Pedersen, who scored his career-best qualifying position for AJ Foyt Racing in the No.55 Sexton Properties Chevrolet as he starts the race from tenth place with a time of 01:41.4989s just ahead of his teammate Santino Ferrucci in the No.14 Sexton Properties Chevrolet who set a 01:41.6314s.
Devlin DeFrancesco rounds out the top twelve for Andretti Autosport. David Malukas starts the race from 13th place just ahead of Graham Rahal in the No.15 Fifth Third Bank Honda.
Rinus VeeKay in the No.21 Direct Supply Chevrolet starts the race from 15th place, just ahead of Felix Rosenqvist and Callum Ilott. Scott McLaughlin starts the race from 18th for Team Penske just ahead of Romain Grosjean and Simon Pagenaud, who rounds out the top twenty for Meyer Shank Racing.
Agustin Canapino starts the race from 21st, while Will Power who was still incensed following the incident with Scott Dixon in 22nd while Scott Dixon starts the race from 23rd place.
Jack Harvey starts the race from 24th just ahead of Sting Ray Robb and Helio Castroneves. Ryan Hunter-Reay starts the race from the back of the field in 27th place.
