NTT INDYCAR SERIES President Jay Frye says that the competition in the series in 2023 is off the charts, just like it was last season. Speaking ahead of Fast Friday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Frye said that we had the fastest four-lap average qualifying last season, with Scott Dixon scoring the pole. At the same time, it was also the quickest field.

Frye took fans behind the scenes of the INDYCAR SERIES competition trailer, where senior personnel and Honda and Chevrolet engineers work throughout a race weekend, and it is a one-stop shop for the teams each race if they have questions for series officials.

Frye said that he has been extremely impressed with the start of the 2023 season, with five winners in the opening five races of the season, with Honda Performance Development scoring three victories while Chevrolet has two.
