The opening race of the 2017 World Rally Championship is just 18 days away with the Monte Carlo rally getting underway on January 19.

There have been a number of big changes over the winter, most notably the withdrawal of champions Volkswagen who announced they were leaving the sport in the latter part of the year.

The news of Volkwagen’s withdrawal means that champion Sebastien Ogier has found a new team as he joins M-Sport for 2017 driving the Ford Fiesta EccoBoost.

Jari Matti-Latvala has joined Toyota, the Japanese manufacturer is returning to the World Rally Championship for the first time in 13 years and with the brand new Toyota Yaris which like it will be a very exciting car.
