Action Express Racing’s Simon Pagenaud in the No.48 Ally Racing Cadillac Dpi Prototype says that the team dynamic has been really beneficial going into this weekend’s Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona International Speedway.

The Frenchman who competes in the NTT IndyCar Series for Team Penske has joined Action Express for the race this weekend alongside seven-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion and fellow IndyCar driver Jimmie Johnson, Toyota Gazoo Racing WEC driver Kamui Kobayashi and DTM driver Mike Rockenfeller.

Speaking to Paddock Eye during the race, Pagenaud who won the 2019 Indianapolis 500 with Team Penske said that having all four drivers coming to the team from different disciplines means that they all bring a different prospective to the team on how to set up the car but also on how the work together outside the car.

Pagenaud went on to say that he was extremely impressed with Jimmie Johnson and how he started the Rolex 24 Hours as he has never been the driver to have started an endurance race saying that the American driver got up to speed very quickly.
