Paretta Autosport head into their second race weekend in a row as Simona De Silvestro will compete in the Honda Indy 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar course, a track that she knows well from her previous experience in the NTT IndyCar Series and looking ahead to this weekend the Swiss driver commented saying:
Mid Ohio is a track I was good at back in the day. It’s going to be good to be on a track that I’ve driven successfully in an INDYCAR. The preparation has also been much better. My test day at Indianapolis Motor Speedway was really positive. It felt good to do a lot of laps and get the grips of it. I think we can make another step forward this weekend.
Team owner and Team Principal Beth Paretta commented saying:
Our team has put in a lot of work since our debut at Road America. Simona ran over 100 laps in a test day on the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In that time, the team was able to better fit her for the car. She also was able to put in time at the Chevrolet simulator this week. I’m looking forward to seeing our progress this weekend now that we have started building on our foundation.
Paretta Autosport will continue their partnership with Ed Carpenter Racing this weekend so the team will have plenty of knowledge to work with this weekend.
