Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi in the No,27 NAPA Auto Parts Honda says that it is great to see fans back at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for this weekend’s 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on Sunday.

Speaking during a media call on Thursday, the 2016 Indianapolis 500 winner said that the fans are what make this the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.

Rossi said that last year he spoke to his teammate James Hinchcliffe and said that he hoped the winner last year was not a new winner of the event given that there were no fans in the stands and fortunately or unfortunately it was Takuma Sato who took his second 500 win.

Rossi thanked Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Roger Penske and the City of Indianapolis for ensuring that fans could come back to Speedway.
