The 76 day wait is almost over! The Firestone 600 at Texas Motor Speedway is less than 24 hours away.

The race will pick up from lap 72 of 289 and will see the entire field with the exception of Dale Coyne Racing’s Conor Daly and Ed Carpenter Racing’s Josef Newgarden take to the track.

The race, originally scheduled for June 11 was rained out on June 12 with it rescheduled for Saturday August 27. The Verizon IndyCar Series is in the middle of an extremely busy schedule as the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway which itself was affected by rain took place just four days ago.

The rescheduled race at Pocono made it an extremely quick turnaround for the series and when the chequered flag falls on Saturday night, there will be no time to rest as the IndyCar Grand Prix at the glen takes place next weekend.
