Ed Carpenter Racing heads into its home race, the GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis, on the IMS road course aiming for a solid start to May. The IMS road course in the home race for Conor Daly, driver of the No.20 BitNile Ed Carpenter Racing Chevrolet and looking ahead to the race this weekend, the Noblesville native commented saying:

The GMR Grand Prix is one of my favorite events! The IMS Road Course has been a successful place for me in the past, both in qualifying and the race. Just need to get on the podium now! We hope that we have the same speed we had last year, if anything be faster! We will all work together and get a good result. We need the season to turn around now, it has been really difficult to handle so far. Hopefully, all smiles and happiness this month and starting off strong at the Indy GP always helps!”

Conor Daly is ready for his home race and to start the Month of May at IMS

Rinus VeeKay in the No.21 BitNile Chevrolet has a great record here, having taken victory here in 2021, speaking ahead of the race this weekend, he commented saying:

I am very excited to race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course again! Of course, it’s the place where I won my first race and it’s great to come back as a previous winner. Hopefully double it up this year! I am ready to get back to good results and if there’s a perfect place to do it, it’s at IMS for the road course and the Speedway itself! I can’t wait to get the Month of May started. I’m ready for the adventure!”

Rinus VeeKay returns to the scene of his win here in 2021.
