Scuderia Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen who started Sunday’s United States Grand Prix at the Circuit Of The Americas in Austin Texas from second on the grid proved that he still has the speed to compete at the front of the sport.

The Iceman held off a late charge by Aston Martin Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen in the closing stages of Sunday’s Grand Prix to claim his first Formula One victory in five and a half years.

The Finn who turned 39 last week made a fantastic start to the race taking the lead from pole sitter Lewis Hamilton as the pair headed into Turn one.

The result moved Raikkonen back into thir place in the championship ahead of fellow Finn Valtteri Bottas who finished the race in fourth place.
