The Indianapolis Motor Speedway where the NTT IndyCar Series is currently preparing for next weekend’s 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge is so big that the surface temperature is different in each of the four corners on the oval.

Speaking to Paddock Eye, Cara Adams, Director of Race Tire Engineering and Production Bridgestone Americas Motorsports spoke about the changes in temperatures saying:

You’ll see the biggest difference in the morning when there’s a shadow across turn 2. Differences in wind, temperature, surface and others change the performance from one end to the other.
