Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon who will compete in his 18th Rolex 24 Hour race at Daytona International Speedway this weekend says that his No.9 PNC Bank Honda is its own beast compared to the Cadillac DPI Prototype that the Iceman is currently driving.
Speaking to Paddock Eye on Friday ahead of the race this weekend, Dixon said that the prototype car hands differently but that the Dpi is more similar compared to the GT.
The Iceman said that his car last year was very tough to drive but that in the car this year as it has been prepared by Chip Ganassi Racing which are always easier to drive. Dixon said that it is a fun car to drive.
Speaking about his new Chip Ganassi Racing NTT IndyCar Series team mate Jimmie Johnson who is competing in the Rolex 24 Hours with Action Express, he said that having spoken to the seven time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion this week that the car he is in for the race is the comparable to what he has experienced in the IndyCar in terms of the speed and braking power.
