Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team non executive chairman Niki Lauda says that the new generation Formula One cars look awesome particularly with the new wider tyres and feels that fans will love the new cars.
Pre-season testing gets underway in exactly two weeks at the Barcelona Circuit Du Catalunya in Spain.
Lauda believes that none of the teams will show their real potential in the opening four day test from February 27 – March 2. In the second test from March 7-10 they will continue their preparation and it will only be when the teams line up on the grid for the Australian Grand Prix at the end of March that we’ll see a true reflection of where everyone is in relation to performance.
The new Mercedes will be launched at the Silverstone circuit by Lewis Hamilton and new driver Valtteri Bottas who has replaced world champion Nico Rosberg at the Silver Arrow following Rosberg’s retirement from Formula One.
