Schmidt Peterson Motorsports No.5 Arrow Electronics crew and James Hinchcliffe will come back stronger at next weekend’s Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear double header following what has been a difficult week for the team.
As we all know the Mayor Of HinchTown will not race at Indy on Sunday, however his stock within the Verizon IndyCar Series has sky rocketed among fans, most fellow drivers and teams with how he has dealt with this set back.
Hinch took the disappointment in his stride and although he described it as one of the worst moments of his career, and just days later he joined the Indy 500 media tour in New York City to promote the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil, the Mayor of HinchTown, is a fantastic ambassador for the Verizon IndyCar Series.
Schmidt Peterson Motorsports took another major hit on Thursday with the news that their chief race engineer Leena Gade has left the team after just five races.
The team are resilient however and they will bounce back in a big way next time out at Detroit Grand Prix. Hinch has shown with his team mate Robert Wickens that Schmidt Peterson Motorsports are a force to be reckoned with in 2018 and they will not let minor setbacks get in the way of their goal of winning the championship.
