FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem says that the presence of iconic American brands Andretti and General Motors is good for Formula One.

GM announced on Tuesday that they will enter Formula One as a power unit supplier from 2028 and will provide engines to the Andretti Global Cadillac Formula One Team.

The addition of Andretti Global to the Formula One grid has received criticism from the existing ten teams and Formula One Management.

General Motors executives are expected to travel to Las Vegas this weekend for the inaugural race on the Vegas Strip.
