Graham Rahal has told Paddock Eye that following his win in the Firestone 600 at Texas Motor Speedway last weekend means that the pressure is off having taken his first victory of the season.

Graham said that the monkey is off his back but that it is also on a little bit as he is just 12 points behind fifth placed Josef Newgarden.

Rahal also feels that following his win in Texas his crew have momentum going into this weekend’s race and he hopes that it follows through to the final race, the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma.

Rahal finished this morning’s opening practice session in fifth place and was the fastest Honda.
