Arrow McLaren Racing Director Gavin Ward says that the team is in high spirits heading into this weekend’s Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach following a strong start to the season for the team.

Pato O’Ward in the No.5 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet is currently first in the championship on 82 points after the opening two races of the year and speaking about the race this weekend, Ward said:

“The team is in high spirits as we head to the streets of Long Beach. It’s an iconic event that would be very special to win. But our goal is unchanged: focus on being better each race, execute clean race weekends and try to get our cars up in the top six.”

Felix Rosenqvist, in the No.6 onsemi Chevrolet, fresh from pole position at the PPG375 at Texas Motor Speedway the Swede says:

”It’s awesome to get back to the West Coast again. Long Beach is one of the highlights of the season, and we’re curious as a team to see if we have made the same improvements there as we did in St. Petersburg.”

Alexander Rossi in the No.7 NTT DATA Chevrolet is looking forward to the race this weekend at a track where he took back-to-back victories in 2018 and 2019 and speaking ahead of the race the Californian native said:

”It’s always a special feeling racing in Long Beach. The atmosphere, the fans and the history make this event one of the highlights of the season. We’ve been working hard on our setup and strategy for this race, and I’m confident that our team can deliver a strong performance. We’ll be pushing to bounce back from the Texas disappointment, and I can’t wait to get out there and put on a show for our fans.”
