Brehanna Daniels, the first female African American NASCAR pit crew member says that what happened at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday afternoon when a noose was found in the garage of Bubba Wallace is not what the sport represents.

Speaking to CNN from her home in North Carolina, Daniels said:

Hearing about that just made me very angry, because it’s sad. As soon as NASCAR was going in a positive direction some time like this happens. This is not what NASCAR represents at all. Because we’re a family in NASCAR and we don’t do things like this.
