Four-time Indianapolis 500 winner Helio Castroneves who won his fourth Indianapolis 500 and first with Meyer Shank Racing on Sunday says that out of the four he has won, Sunday’s one was special because they built the team together. Speaking to Paddock Eye during a Zoom call on Wednesday, the Brazilian said that it wasn’t a case of just been thrown in the car and told to go fast, they were learning how each other operate in terms of car setup, learning a different format with a different group, a different process, everyone from Andretti Autosport from Meyer Shank Racing so that is why this feels awesome.

Castroneves went on to tell us that when you accomplish a goal like this we did it, we created it together. I am really proud of the entire team and proud of myself too.

Castroneves’ next race with Meyer Shank Racing will be the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix on August 8th. For further information or to book your tickets visit –
