The Verizon IndyCar Series announced on Friday that there will be one full field test at the Circuit of the Americas on February 12 and 13 prior to the start of the 2019 season.
The series have also confirmed that testing will take place on the 2.5 mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway on April 24 prior to the month of May activities leading up to the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500.
It has also been confirmed that WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca will play host to an open test on September 19th 2019 ahead of its official return to the calendar as the season finale on September 22nd.
The private testing period will begin on Monday 1 October 2018 and end on September 11, 2019.
There will be a testing blackout from at Thanksgiving and Christmas with no testing allowed seven days before an event with the exception of the season opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg in March.
