Andretti Autosport’s Marco Andretti in the No.98 Gleaners Food Bank Of Indiana Honda says that his performance today on Carb Day, the final practice ahead of Sunday’s 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge where he finished in fifth place with a speed of 226.396MPH re-confirmed the team’s pace for Sunday’s race.

Speaking to Paddock Eye following Carb Day, Andretti who admitted he is not usually a fan of the final practice session said that he was thankful he ran today because the team was able to find and fix an issue with the electrical box on his car.

Andretti admitted that had they not ran today they would have discovered the problem on the way to the green flag and that would have ended their race.

Andretti, who starts the race from 25th place on the grid following a four-lap qualifying average sped of 229.872MPH said that he feels like they have a great race for Sunday and it feels better than the car he had last year that he started from the pole with and he is looking forward to the race.
