Chip Ganassi Racing team owner Chip Ganassi says that the opening day of qualifying for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday will be interesting.
Ganassi is fielding two cars this year with Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda and Ed Jones in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda.
Speaking during Fast Friday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Chip said that his team are focusing on what will happen in the race next weekend. The starting position for the race is not that important as Juan Pablo Montoya showed in 2015 when he came from the back of the grid to win the race.
Ganassi said he is happy with the work that Honda are doing with his team so far during the month of May.
