The new Top Gun Racing NTT IndyCar Series team who were set to make their race debut at 104th running of Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on August 23 have reportedly put the brakes on their entry.
Racer.com report that the team owned by Gary Trout and Bill Throckmorton have decided to defer their entry into the series until the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge in 2021 in order to get everything in place in terms of equipment.
RC Enerson is set to drive for the team. Paddock Eye understands that given there is no testing this season was also a factor in the teams decision to delay their entry.
The 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge is scheduled for Sunday August 23 with a 50 percent capacity.
