KVSH Racing’s Sebastien Bourdais goes into this weekend’s Honda Indy Toronto following a solid race last time out at the Iowa Corn 300 at Iowa Speedway where the Frenchman who started the race from 16th place on the grid and came through the field to finish the race with a solid top ten finish in eighth place.
The Honda Indy Toronto event has been a happy hunting ground for the LeMans native who took victory in the Team Hydroxycut Chevrolet in 2014.
The race is important for the team as their title sponsor Hydroxycut are based just outside Toronto. Bourdais goes into the race in 14th place in the series standings on 246 points having taken victory at the previous street race layout in Detroit where he took victory in race one.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s on track action in Toronto, Bourdais commented by saying:
Historically, Toronto has been a good place for me including a win with the Hydroxycut – KVSH Racing team in 2014. Obviously, it is a very important race for the team because our sponsor Hydroxycut’s headquarters is located just outside of the city. We haven’t been exactly where we want to be with the street course setup this year, but we have some interesting things to try with the car this weekend. We will see where we stack up and hopefully this will be a breakthrough weekend.
