Chip Ganassi Racing’s Jimmie Johnson, driver of the No.48 Carvana Honda is looking forward to this weekend’s Honda Indy Toronto as the NTT IndyCar Series returns North of the border for the first time in three years.
Johnson spent time in the Honda simulator on Thursday before taking some laps around the circuit in his rental car on Thursday evening.
The seven-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion says he feels that the track is very similar to both Belle Isle in Detroit and the Nashville street circuit in terms of the grip levels and how bumpy the surface is.
Ahead of his first race in Canada and first race at #IndyTO, @JimmieJohnson checks in to get his thoughts on the @hondaindy weekend ahead. ⬇️ @CGRTeams // @Carvana // @INDYCAR pic.twitter.com/q9sh47Thec
