U.S President Donald Trump says he could attend the Greatest Spectacle In Racing, the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway next month.

Trump made the comments as he welcomed Team Penske drivers, Josef Newgarden, Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano along with their IMSA drivers Nick Tandy, Felipe Nasr and Laurens Vanthoor and Roger Penske to the White House on Wednesday.

There are just 47 days until the Greatest Spectacle In Racing leaving not a lot of time to get everything organized and in place in terms of security to make it happen, however if the President wants to be there he will be.

Roger Penske, who owns the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and INDYCAR SERIES said:

You have an open invitation.

Should Trump attend the Indianapolis 500, it would not be the first race has attended as he was at the Daytona 500 in February.
