Visa Cash App RB F1 Team’s Yuki Tsunoda got his first test of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES on Tuesday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway ahead of this weekend’s Las Vegas F1 race. The Japanese driver drove a Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) livered Chip Ganassi Racing Honda Dallara and was assisted by six-time NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion Scott Dixon, driver of the No.9 PNC Bank Chip Ganassi Racing Honda.
Tsunoda was not the only F1 driver in action. All Honda-powered drivers, including world champion and championship leader Max Verstappen, got behind the wheel of various Honda-powered machinery.
Verstappen drove the Meyer Shank Racing Hybrid Acura GTP car that competes in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship. Meyer Shank Racing endurance driver Colin Braun coached the three-time Formula One world champion.
Visa Cash App RB F1 Team’s Liam Lawson was behind the wheel of an Acura Integra race car engineered by HRC-US while Sergio Checo Perez of Oracle Red Bull Racing drove a Honda CRV Hybrid racer featuring an NTT INDYCAR SERIES Honda engine and INDYCAR Hybrid system, Lawson and Perez received coaching from touring car driver Dai Yoshihara.
