The 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil is in the history books as the teams and full time drivers switch gears to the Detroit double header this weekend.

As I left IMS on Sunday evening the Chip Ganassi Racing haulers were pulling out of the Speedway on the road to Detroit.

Team Penske’s Indy 500 champion Will Power will have a busy week of media appearances ahead of the races in Detroit but he will certainly be one to watch this weekend.

Schmidt Peterson Motorsports James Hinchcliffe missed Sunday’s race however he is ready to go and get back on track in Detroit this weekend.

The drivers who participated in the race on Sunday will attend tonight’s victory banquet before heading to Detroit.
