TWG Motorsports CEO Dan Towriss says that the Cadillac F1 Team who will make their Formula One debut next season will have a launch event at the Miami Grand Prix next month.

Towriss made the announcement at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach last weekend as he witnessed Kyle Kirkwood of Andretti Global take victory in Sunday’s race.

When asked following the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach if he ever thought he would be involved as a team owner in so many Motorsports categories, Towriss said:

Absolutely not. Interesting circumstances, got introduced to INDYCAR. I was sponsoring a golf tournament at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at Brickyard, got up close and personal to INDYCAR, became a sponsor, a fan. Then our involvement just continued.

Now here I’m running a global motorsports platform from Formula 1, to INDYCAR, NASCAR, sports cars, Australian V8 Supercars. I’m a big fan of motorsports now. What can I say?

The Miami Formula One race takes place on Sunday, May 4 and Towriss said that the Indianapolis 500 is its own event so they weren’t going to do anything there particularly as it relates to INDYCAR and not Formula One.
