The NTT IndyCar Series is one of the most competitive and entertaining forms of motor racing on the planet. The racing is not only fantastic and close but the drivers a wonderful personalities.
In the last month we has seen James Hinchcliffe, one of the most popular drivers in the series lose his drive with Arrow McLaren SP and on Friday Sebastien Bourdais lost his drive.
While Bourdais will join the IMSA WeatherTech championship Paddock Eye understands that James Hinchcliffe will be in the NTT IndyCar Series full time next season as the Canadian who has been on honeymoon has managed to secure sponsorship for next season.
It is not yet known where the Mayor of HinchTown will end up with Dale Coyne Racing looking like the most likely destination for the Canadian however Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing and Chip Ganassi Racing are also keen to secure his signature.
Hinch and Bourdais are extremely talented drivers, proven race winners and extremely consistent so not having at least one of them on the grid next season is not good for the series.
Despite losing Bourdais to the IMSA WeatherTech championship we are gaining talented youngsters in Rinus VeeKay who this week joined Ed Carpenter Racing to drive the No.21 Chevrolet full time and we also have Oliver Askew at the Arrow McLaren SP team alongside Patricio O’Ward who has shown great speed during his previous seven NTT IndyCar Series races.
