Verizon IndyCar Series points leader Simon Pagenaud has confirmed that his No.22 Team Penske Chevrolet will feature the lime yellow Menards livery for a further two races during the season starting with next weekend’s Iowa Corn 300 at Iowa Speedway.

Pagenaud who leads the championship by 74 points from team mate Helio Castroneves with seven races left this year took to Twitter on Wednesday to confirm the news:

The Frenchman who has taken three victories so far this season heads to Iowa hoping to bounce back from a disappointing race at the Kohler Grand Prix on the Road America circuit last time out where he finished the race in 13th place following an issue with his Chevrolet engine.

As the Verizon IndyCar Series heads into the second half of the 2016 season Pagenaud won’t relax despite the fact that ever driver who has entered the second part of the season with that big a points gap has gone on to win the championship however the issue he suffered at Road America could repeat itself at any moment and with the final race in Sonoma counting for double points the championship is far from over.
