McLaren Renault F1 Team’s Stoffel Vandoorne is under consideration for the No.19 Dale Coyne Racing Honda in the Verizon IndyCar Series in 2019.
Team owner Dale Coyne has confirmed that he has held talks with the Belgian about him moving to the US to compete in the Verizon IndyCar Series full-time alongside Sebastian Bourdais.
Coyne has also confirmed that Santino Ferrucci and Pietro Fittipaldi are also under consideration for the seat.
Vandoorne says he is interested in a full-time drive in the Verizon IndyCar Series having been replaced at the McLaren F1 Team at the end of 2018 by their young driver Lando Norris.
The Belgian has confirmed however that he is waiting to see what happens with the McLaren IndyCar progeamme but has also said that Robert Wickens’ accident in Pocono last month has made him wonder about going racing in the Verizon IndyCar Series.
