Dale Coyne Racing announced on Friday that Rinus VeeKay will drove the No.51 Honda full-time in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in 2025.
Speaking about the announcement, team owner Dale Coyne said:
We are excited about getting back to full-time drivers for 2025. The stability allows us to grow as a team, and that’s important to me. For that to be accomplished, having a proven veteran in one of our entries helps tremendously, and that’s one of the many reasons we have decided to go with VeeKay to complete the 2025 grid. We are excited for him to join the team and get started with us at the Sebring test coming up next week in preparation for the full NTT INDYCAR SERIES season,”
VeeKay, who made his NTT INDYCAR SERIES debut in 2020, scored his maiden victory at the Grand Prix of Indianapolis the following year tested for DCR in October.
Speaking about the news the Dutch driver said:
Very exciting news. I am happy to announce my partnership with Dale Coyne Racing for the 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season,” said VeeKay. “It makes me proud to see my name among the drivers competing in this fantastic series for a sixth consecutive year. After a difficult start to my offseason, I am delighted to end the winter with this news.”
VeeKay will be in action for Dale Coyne alongside his new teammate Jacob Abel next week for the two-day Sebring test.
