World champion Max Verstappen capped a phenomenal 2023 Formula One season as he took a record breaking 19th win in a season.

Verstappen also beat his teammate Sergio Perez by a record points margin of 290.

Charles Leclerc came home in second place just ahead of George Russell who claimed just his second podium finish of the season.

Sergio Perez finished the race in fourth place after a 5s penalty.

Lando Norris came home in fifth place just ahead of Oscar Piastri and Fernando Alonso while Yuki Tsunoda ended the race in eighth place just ahead of Lewis Hamilton while Lance Stroll rounded out the top ten.

Daniel Ricciardo ended the season in 11th place just ahead of Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly.

Alex Albon was 14th for Williams just ahead of Nico Hulkenberg and Logan Sargeant.

Guanyu Zhou was 17th just ahead of Carlos Sainz while Valtteri Bottas and Kevin Magnussen rounded out the order.

Not only did Max Verstappen win the championship but he was also the only driver to finish ever race of the season.

It was the first time since 1952 that a British driver hasn’t won a Grand Prix and it is also the first season since 2011 that the Mercedes F1 Team have failed to win a Grand Prix so finishing second in the championship just goes to show how consistent the Brackley-based outfit have been this year.

The 2024 Formula One season is 97 days away.
