Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen ended the final practice session at the Circuit of the Americas ahead of qualifying for Sunday’s United States Grand Prix fastest with a time of 01:36.766s while Daniel Ricciardo ended the session in second place with a fastest time of 01:37.032s.
Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen was third fastest with the Iceman setting a fastest time of 01:37.284s ending the session just ahead of reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton.
Formula One world championship points leader Nico Rosberg was fifth fastest setting a time of 01:37.784s. Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel was sixth fastest with a time of 01:37.894s despite suffering from a problem with his gearbox.
Nico Hulkenberg was seventh fastest for the Sahara Force India Formula One Team ending session with a time of 01:37.948s ending the session just ahead of Valtteri Bottas in the Williams. McLaren Honda’s Jenson Button was ninth fastest ending the morning just ahead of his team mate Fernando Alonso who rounded out the top ten.
Sergio Perez was 11th fastest in the second Force India with the Mexican setting a fastest time of 01:38.512s ending the session just ahead of the Renault Sport F1 Team’s Jolyon Palmer. Felipe Massa was 13th fastest in the second Williams.
Fresh from announcing a fresh contract with Toro Rosso, Daniil Kvyat ended the session in 14th place ending the session just ahead of team mate Carlos Sainz.
The Haas F1 Team’s Esteban Gutierrez and Romain Grosjean ended the session in 16th and 17th place respectively just ahead of Renault Sport F1 Team’s Kevin Magnussen. The Sauber F1 Team’s Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr ended the session in 19th and 20th place.
The Manor Racing duo of Esteban Ocon and Pascal Werhlein rounded out the order in 21st and 22nd place respectively.
