Defending Formula One champion Max Verstappen took pole position for Sunday’s Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at the Imola circuit after claiming victory in the Sprint race.
Championship leader Charles Leclerc starts the race from second having started the Sprint from pole having had an issue with his tyres.
Sergio Perez starts the race from third just ahead of Carlos Sainz while Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo start the race from sixth.
Valtteri Bottas starts the race from seventh for Alfa Romeo just ahead of Kevin Magnussen.
Fernando Alonso starts the race from ninth for Alpine while Mick Schumacher rounds out the top ten.
George Russell starts 11th for Mercedes just Yuki Tsunoda while Sebastian Vettel starts the from 13th.
Seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton lost places off the grid and starts the race from P14.
Lance Stroll starts 15th just ahead of Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly. Alex Albon was 18th just ahead of Nicholas Latifi while Guanyu Zhou rounds out the grid following contact with Pierre Gasly which brought out the safety car.
