Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen took victory in the final Sprint Race of the 2023 season in Brazil on Saturday.

The Dutch driver took the lead from Lando Norris at the start of the race going down the inside of Turn 1.

Lando Norris came home in second place to close within seven points of Fernando Alonso in the championship.

Sergio Perez ended the race in third place to claim his first podium since the Italian Grand Prix.

George Russell came home in fourth place for Mercedes just ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Alpha Tauri’s Yuki Tsunoda who had a fantastic race coming home in sixth place just ahead of Lewis Hamilton.

Carlos Sainz rounded out the points in eighth place just ahead of Daniel Ricciardo and Oscar Piastri who rounded out the top ten for McLaren.

Fernando Alonso came home in 11th just ahead of his Aston Martin Aramaco Cognizant Formula One Team teammate Lance Stroll while Pierre Gasly led home his Alpine teammate Esteban Ocon.

Alex Albon was 15th just ahead of the Haas F1 Team’s Kevin Magnussen.

Zhou Guanyu was 17th for Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake just ahead of Nico Hulkenberg and Valtteri Bottas while Williams Racing’s Logan Sargeant rounded out the order in 20th.

Next up is the main Grand Prix on Sunday.
