Scuderia Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel set the fastest time on the final day of winter testing before the teams head to Australia for the opening Grand Prix of the 2016 Formula One season.
The German set a fastest time of 1m 22.852s completing 142 laps, the most of any driver on the final day.
Scuderia Toro Rosso’s Carlos Sainz Jr was second fastest overall with a 1m 23.134s ending the day just ahead of Williams Martini Racing’s Felipe Massa while Sergio Perez was fourth fastest in the Force India.
Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton was fifth fastest in the W07 completing 69 laps with a fastest time of 1m 24.133s completing 69 laps.
Infiniti Red Bull Racing’s Daniel Ricciardo ended the day in sixth place with a fastest time of 1m 24.427s with the Australian completing 123 laps ending up just ahead of McLaren Honda’s Jenson Button who completed 121 laps with a fastest time of 1m 24.714s.
Jolyon Palmer was eighth fastest for the Renault Sport F1 Team, the Englishman completed 90 laps with a fastest time of 1m 24.859s.
The Sauber F1 Team’s Marcus Ericsson was 9th fastest in the Ferrari powered C34 completing 134 laps ending the day just ahead of Romain Grosjean in the Haas VF-16 with the Frenchman completing 66 laps with a fastest time of 1m 25.255s.
Esteban Gutierrez ended the afternoon in 11th place with a fastest time of 1m 25.422s completing 25 laps.
The Manor F1 Team’s Rio Haryanto was 12th fastest completing 58 laps while Nico Rosberg ended the test at the bottom of the time sheets in 13th place with a fastest time of 1m 26.140s.
